Does Availight require Internet or an account?
Core local setup and manual status control can operate without Internet or an Availight Cloud account. Optional connected features require Internet, an account, and any relevant provider authorization.
Can I control status manually?
Yes. Manual control is available from the Controller and remains available when optional Autopilot features are used.
Which connected services are currently supported?
Optional Autopilot connections support Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Microsoft Teams, and iCalendar feeds. Availability depends on account setup, provider authorization, and configured Availight Cloud services.
Can Availight detect every phone or app call?
No. Phone-call awareness on compatible Android devices depends on operating-system permissions and is not guaranteed for every phone or calling app. Manual status control remains available.
How are the two units placed?
Keep the Controller within reach inside the room and place the powered Door Unit where visitors can see it at the doorway. Follow the Quick Start Guide for current setup instructions.
How does Availight protect private calendar information?
The Door Unit communicates availability rather than displaying meeting names, private notes, passwords, or personal calendar details. Optional provider credentials and feed links remain server-side where documented.
